Our Story
Sash Restoration Belfast is part of The Barnsbury Joinery Group, a second-generation heritage joinery business with craftsmanship at its core.
Barnsbury Joinery was founded in London, building quickly into a trusted name in heritage timber joinery. Working on some of the capital's most significant period properties, the business earned the confidence of the Crown Estate, Grosvenor Estate, and the US Embassy. These are clients whose buildings demand the highest standard of craft and the utmost discretion.
In parallel, the Sash Restoration brand was developed: a specialist offer built entirely around the repair, restoration and sensitive replacement of original sash windows. The premise was simple. Too many period windows are being unnecessarily replaced. With the right expertise, the vast majority can be restored to full working order and made to perform better than modern alternatives, at a fraction of the cost.
The brand expanded first to Hertfordshire, then to Belfast. Each new operation was built on the same foundations: experienced craftsmen, proven methods, and an honest approach to what a building actually needs.
Last year, The Barnsbury Joinery Group was formally established, bringing all four brands together under one collective. Barnsbury Joinery, Sash Restoration London, Sash Restoration Hertfordshire and Sash Restoration Belfast now operate as a unified group. Different specialisms, shared standards, one vision.
